LITTLE GREEN BOOK

Little Green Book: Natasha Rufus Isaacs

WORDS BY Katie Jarvis

Natasha Rufus Isaacs is co-founder of the eco-friendly fashion brand, Beulah London, set up in 2010 with bosom buddy Lavinia Brennan.

Among fans of their designs is the Duchess of Cambridge, who is also a close friend. Well, we have to admit - it’s hardly surprising that Kate loves these dresses!

The brand brings together ultimate chic with an irreproachable set of ethical principles: designs crafted in collaboration with worldwide NGO partners; and a safe environment for vulnerable women: ‘Our vision is a world where slavery no longer exists’.

Beulah London’s dresses are made using traditional methods, block-printed in Kolkata, and embroidered by hand in Bangladesh.

The daughter of the Marquess of Reading, Natasha holds the Cotswolds close to her heart. She was educated at Westonbirt School, and got married to lawyer husband Rupert Finch at St John Baptist in Cirencester. The couple, who have three young children, live in the Cotswolds.

Natasha, what would be your ultimate Cotswold concierge service?

A back massage followed by a mani and pedi!

What would you be most likely to search for in Cotswold Cloche’s Little Green Book?

The best builders – we are about to embark on a house build, so I need all the advice I can get!

What’s your favourite thing to do for free in the Cotswolds?

Walks around our home as it’s heavenly and unspoilt.

Which Cotswold attraction would you recommend to visiting friends?

Cotswold Wildlife Park – my girls absolutely love the variety of animals (and gift shop!)

When you have friends over from other areas of the UK/other countries, what most surprises them or catches them out about the Cotswolds?

The beautiful walks, and the traditional Cotswold houses in the area. We often take people to Coln St Aldwyns for a walk along the stream – and admire all the beautiful houses and cottages. Like something out of ‘The Holiday’ film!
